Sales Associates Job Opening in Providence, Rhode island - We are seeking a part-time retail sales professional for our Providence store. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable retail professional with an entrepreneurial spirit looking to learn the day-to-day challenges of a retail operation and promoting handmade and American Made products. Key job responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of inventory and management of retail POS system, including checking in merchandise, entering data and all reporting
- Selling and interacting with customers while maintaining top-notch customer service
- Developing relationships with customers and strong clientele building
- Daily reconciliation of sales and inventory
- Restocking sold merchandise and maintaining a specific merchandising aesthetic.
- Daily cleaning and dusting
- Working within a team to reach company goals
Requirements for this candidate:
- 2-3 years retail experience preferably for a small business
- Familiarity with handmade products and different art medium knowledge preferred * Exceptional sales and customer service skills
- Love of handmade and made in America products
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
- Experience with POS preferred
- Ability to handle customer questions with tact and grace
- A dynamic and energetic personality
- A strong value system including, but not limited to, honesty, quality and trust
- An interest in growing personally and professionally within a dynamic organization
