TRAVEL: The position may include approximately 25% travel within Missouri

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in community or economic development, accounting, business or public administration, finance or a closely related area.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
These positions are responsible for tabulating data related to the department?s disaster recovery efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confirm property buyout addresses and longitude and latitude data through review of state and local government records
Tabulate various data for use in current flood recovery efforts
Perform other related work as assigned.

Analytical and logic skills to assist with comparison of two or more data points
Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations applicable to the assigned program area
Considerable knowledge of business math computations; and grammar, composition and spelling
Ability to make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy
Some knowledge of financial and tax management, economic development, accounting and auditing principles and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of public and Department staff
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments without close supervision
Prepare complete and concise reports
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers, project managers, public officials, community and neighborhood organizations, regional planning commissions and the general public
Ability to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
Proficient knowledge of GIS software preferred
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel
