Senior Cost Accountant Job Opening in Wheeling, Illinois - We are a spinoff of a large well known company set to finalize 8.1.17. This new company, which has a large share of its marketplace is located in Wheeling, Illinois. Much of the senior management team is already in place.
You will be part of the formation of a new company and will have an opportunity to help develop and establish procedures and work flow process for the financial team. You should have strong communication skills, able to pay close attention to details and be computer savvy.
You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
Report analysis and findings to management team
Account collections
General Ledger reconciliations
Fixed Assets
Cost accounting
Use of Infor Systems, Avalara and Certify software
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in accounting
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
Detail and deadline-oriented
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
BA/BS
Able to provide leadership in a team environment
