Sales Agent Job Opening in West Dover, Vermont - Mount Snow Resort is looking for Full Time Sales Agents for the 2017/2018 Winter Ski Season. Positions begin in September and run until the end of the winter season based on Mother Nature!
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE Answering telephones, providing excellent customer service to guests, answering questions, quoting availability, rates and policies (on lodging, ski and stay packages, lift tickets, rentals, activities, and ski and snowboard school including children?s programs, group and private lessons), booking, modifying, and cancelling reservations for multiple products at the resort, multi-tasking, organizing and providing everything necessary to the guest to ensure a satisfying guest experience within Central Reservations as well as their future stay at the resort. · Operate an automatic call distribution phone system.
. Operate a computer running multiple applications and programs at the same time. · Utilize the various resort software systems to find availability, and be able to book, change and confirm all reservation requests.
. Complete all procedures and follow directions to book, change and cancel various types of reservations including but not limited to credit cards. · Possess sales skills to sell all aspects of lodging properties and resort services and amenities according to the resort standards and techniques.
. Review booking and cancellation policies with each guest. · Prioritize, organize and be detail oriented to complete designated work assignments. Assist others as needed.
Mail to guests designated fulfillment pieces necessary to complete guest requests. · Be knowledgeable about properties, resort, and all amenities and services, as well as the surrounding area, to provide information to the guest. · Be knowledgeable about all rates, packages, and promotions of call center. · Provide courteous and professional assistance to all guests (internal and external) and solve problems (within guidelines) to provide excellent customer service at all times.
Contribute to and help maintain a professional, positive team oriented atmosphere within the call center.
. Work under the pressure of high customer volume and to deal effectively with guests and employees.
Promote, communicate and maintain good working relationships with company counterparts.
. Maintain a professional appearance. · Keep supervisors and manager apprised of problems, discrepancies, and occurrences with guests, outside vendors or within the call center. · Assist in the daily responsibilities and duties of the call center. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Follow and maintain security and safety standards at all times.
Reports to: Reservation Supervisors, and Reservation Manager, or other senior staff REQUIREMENTS · Office situation, i.e., sitting, standing or walking in a small area for extended periods of time. · Repetitive phone and keyboard action; manual dexterity · High School education with reservation (hotel), customer service, or other office experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. · Good communication (written and oral), detail oriented, multi-task, administrative and organizational · Must have strong customer service skills when dealing with guests, vendors, owners, guests and co-workers. · Good computer skills. Microsoft Office, Springer-Miller, SiriusWare, Inntopia and/or other resort based reservations systems experience preferred. · Mathematical, reasoning and problem solving skills a plus.
