Rehabilitation Technician Job Opening in Fairmont, West virginia - Position Type: Casual
JOB SUMMARY: The Rehabilitation Technician performs select routine tasks related to the operation of rehabilitation services and may assist with patient-related activities as assigned and directed by the Physical or Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or student therapists and as permitted by the applicable State Practice Act. This position interacts with all ages of patients, visitors, family members and other staff including, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Completion of a comprehensive on-the-job orientation program.
Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Some experience preferred in the care and treatment of patients in a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical or Occupational Therapist and/or the Speech Language Pathologist.
Current BLS required.
