Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 1 years Accounts Receivable experience who will take full ownership of the A/R position for our companies.
Applicant will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues and generating weekly aging reports in a timely manner. The candidate must have knowledge of general accounting principles and be proficient with Quickbooks Online accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management.
This position can be the stepping-stone to a supervisor position, for strong candidates with willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Duties and responsibilities:
Accurately invoice and bill services provided
Record daily sales receipts for retail business and restaurant
Maintain an accurate aging report
Conduct account research and analysis
Identify and execute necessary process adjustments
Send statements to outstanding customers
Follow-up on all outstanding claims
Reconcile A/R to the G/L
Interact with managers and case managers to resolve outstanding issues
Dual role as a supported employment specialist and finance specialist
Skilled and ongoing direct support services to clients with Intellectual Disabilities
Desire to support the client?s vocational goals
Assist in skill-building to promote success in an employment setting
Support client to develop specific accounting skills and practicing workplace etiquette
Model and reinforce professional, interpersonal, and behavioral skills
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, social work or comparable related field experience
Some background knowledge in business finance
Understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping
Experience or a desire to provide skilled support to clients with Intellectual Disabilities working within our accounting department.
Willing to train both job coaching and finance to qualified applicant
Reliable transportation is required to get to work/transport individuals
Must be competent and willing to perform Non-Violent Crisis Intervention physical managements as trained
Job responsibilities include reporting any suspected maltreatment, abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an at-risk individual. (M/A/N/E) Each position is considered a mandatory reporter
Able to perform the physical demands of the position
