General Ledger Accountant Job Opening in Belleville, Michigan - Complete month-end close requirements and process journal entries
Timely preparation and publication of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with variance analysis to management and financial institutions
Monthly, quarterly and annual account and bank reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Maintain customer owned tooling schedules
Inventory analysis
Year-end audit preparation
Back up other accounting functions (A/R & A/P)
Other special projects and ad-hoc reporting as assigned by Controller.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience :
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance or related field
3 or more years general ledger accounting or related experience in automotive and manufacturing.
Additional Skills:
Language Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills
Mathematical Skills: Yes
Computer Skills: Proficient in computerized accounting systems and MS Excel
Reasoning Skills: Ability to analyze and solve problems in timely manner with high degree of accuracy.
