IT Procurement Specialist Job Opening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Job Overview:
The IT Procurement Specialist is responsible for confirming the receipt of goods and services while managing the invoice approval process for all purchase orders created through the Procurement channel. This person provides quality support to various stakeholders, employing a high degree of customer service and timeliness. This role has frequent interaction with customers and must be effective in interpersonal communications and problem solving. Additionally, this role provides assistance to other IT staff as needed.
Key :
Facilitate invoice payment of IT purchase orders via accounts payable software (Documentum and TAP).
Procure and confirm receipt of goods and services and gather/prepare documentation in a timely manner.
Validate invoices with end users and budgetary approvers.
Match and receive purchase orders via JD Edwards ERP system.
Liaise between IT Procurement, Accounting, approvers, and vendors.
Provide receipt, approval, and payment status updates to respective stakeholders accordingly.
Provide financial reports, PO details, statistics, and historical cost/purchase information upon request.
Investigate and resolve problems and discrepancies that may occur.
Understand and consistently use Procurement Standards, policies and procedures.
Expedite orders and/or assist the expediting process when intervention is required.
File local input to global Procurement databases or other records retentions as required
Knowledge and experience with Procurement of Software Licenses.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
5 to 7 years of previous experience in procurement, accounts payable or similar role
Experience in JDE, Documentum, TAP or similar procurement systems a plus
Has extensive contact with outside vendors and outsourcing firms to enlist additional IT services support as needed
Develops relationships with professional organizations, user groups, and industry trade groups to stay current with technology
