Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Job Opening in Joplin, Missouri - The Hershewe Law Firm is currently seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who will play an important role in the daily financial process of our organization. You will be responsible for Senior Accountant level work, which includes journal entries, month-end close and balance sheet account reconciliations. You must be a team player and possess a positive attitude that focuses on timeliness, quality of work and process improvements. This is a Full-Time position with benefits.
Responsibilities:
Managing and developing all corporate financial management activities
Ensuring accurate and timely financial budgeting and reporting
Preparing regular, accurate and complete financial reports
Implementing and overseeing effective internal controls for all transactions
Maintaining financial and administrative procedures and policies for the company
Evaluating financial and accounting implications of various business transactions
Assisting in special financial projects, as required
Pro-actively seek out process improvements; continuously make recommendations for improvement and implement agreed upon changes.
Provide information as needed to other members of the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Business, Accounting or related field is required
Two to four years total professional experience, with at least 1 year of strong accounting experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred or progress towards, is required
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
Ability to resolve issues and propose appropriate solutions to issues that arise on a day-to-day basis
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
Ability to focus on multiple tasks, while meeting all deadlines
