Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Beaverton, Oregon - Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Accounting Specialist performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
Utilize computerized accounting software programs (NetSuite, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
Create and deliver invoices and sale receipts to customers.
Research cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.
Prepare daily bank deposit.
Research and apply unallocated cash.
Research merchant credit card deposit discrepancies.
Organize and maintain up to date financial records.
Manage company credit card expenses and accounts.
Process bi-monthly payroll and record payroll journals.
Provide monthly financial accounts reconciliation.
Maintain telephone and personal contact with staff, customers and vendors on receivable matters as directed by manager.
Assist in financial management and analysis, as requested.
Organize and maintain retention files for required period of time.
Other Responsibilities
Provide assistance to other team members.
Investigate and resolves queries from customers.
Handle inbound customer service call.
Maintain and update customer accounts.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor?s degree required, college level accounting/finance classes or Accounting/Finance Degree preferred.
With combination of experience, 4th year student working toward an Accounting degree considered.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Solid accounting and business knowledge: a thorough understanding of income statement and balance sheet accounts, debits and credits, document flow between different business functions.
High attention to details and strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
Mathematical accuracy.
Ability to sort, check, count, and verify number.
Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting function.

Experience
1-4 years hands-on Accounting experience or other Business related experience.
Experience with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a plus.
Working Conditions
Work in an office environment.
Work a standard workweek: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm.
Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
This position will need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, other employees, etc

Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour
