Graphic Designer (Entry Level) Job Opening in Pawtucket, Rhode island - Providence Media, a leader in local lifestyle publications, is looking for an entry level full-time graphic designer to join our growing team. The Graphic Designer will primarily work on print and web ads, as well as magazine related design tasks.
No tele-work candidates will be considered, and the position is full-time. Candidates must submit a link to a portfolio and a resume to be considered.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with sales team to create and edit ads for print and web
Checking ads for pre-press readiness
Creating special advertising pages and concepts
Paginating all of our magazines and pre-press preparation of files
Checking content for issues and errors
Optimizing and uploading press files for online magazine form
Creating and maintaining company branded marketing material
Requirements include:
Extensive operating knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines in cross-functioning teams as well as independently
Organizational and coordination skills required to work on multiple projects while maintaining a keen attention to details
A diverse and creative range of design aesthetics
Knowledge of print and multimedia design and color theory is a plus
Experience with pre-press and creating print-ready content
Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, deadline-based work environment filled with creativity and fun
Salary and benefits:
Entry-level salary range starts at $30,000
