Senior Research Analyst Job Opening in Bethesda, Maryland - HRA is Recruiting Senior Research Analysts!
Health Research and Analysis (HRA- ) is recruiting Senior Research Analysts to fill multiple positions for a evaluation and health services research project. The project focuses on the evaluation of healthcare quality for the 9/11 responders and survivors.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with a research team on project plans and deliverables
Appropriately use epidemiologic, statistical, and health services research industry standards to design, implement and report on evaluation studies
Develop metrics for benchmarking and tracking purposes
Manage and analyze datasets including administrative medical claims, pharmacy transactions, electronic medical record databases, and other health data sources
Draft summary reports, manuscripts, or white papers
Plan, organize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Perform quality assurance, validation, ad-hoc queries, statistical analyses, modelling, and reporting using SAS
Qualifications and Skills:
Required
PhD, MS, or MPH in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related quantitative health sciences with a minimum of 5 years post Master's degree experience in data management
Experiencing analyzing large datasets
Proficient in SAS, with expertise in proc SQL, SAS macros,
Experience writing summary reports, manuscripts, or white papers
Self-motivation and strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in support of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred
Experience with managing and analyzing health outcomes, insurance healthcare claims data (e.g. Medicare, DoD/VA claims), electronic medical records, or survey data
The following skills are a plus:
Expertise in healthcare quality measurement
Expertise in Medicare policies and Medicare data including Part A, B, C and D
Knowledge of medical and/or procedure code sets (e.g. ICD-9/10, CPT, HCPCS)
Proficiency with advanced statistical methodologies
NACI Security Clearance
