POSITION PROFILE
Title: CONTROLLER Reports to: Director of Operations
Department: Operations Status: Exempt/Full Time
Supervise: 2 Operations Positions

PRIMARY AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PROCESSES:
Financial
Coordinate and maintain records of all accounting functions, budgets, forecasting and other fiscal matters. Establish and maintain accounting procedures consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), AICPA regulations, and GOA guidelines. Report on agency overall and divisional financial performance. File appropriate reports with governmental agencies. Maintain Investments for cash flow requirements. Work closely with staff who record or report on various financial activities of SSPC. Experience with NetSuite is a plus .
Program Support
Supervise the on-going support of certification programs (PCS, NAVSEA). Develop and implement tracking methods for data. Maintain and be the lead support in conjunstion with the major informations systems utilized by SSPC: NetSuite, CONCUR, SuiteCommerce, TrueQc, among others.
QUALIFICATIONS TO SUPPORT PRIMARY AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PROCESSES:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Management, Accounting or related field;.
Experience in budgets, financial reporting, financial analysis and projections, automated systems, policies and procedures, payroll and with external Auditors.
Computer competence-word processing, spreadsheets, database, Internet and Web site, equipment, software and peripherals. Office practices and use of office equipment-phone system, fax, copier, calculator, etc. Work almost exclusively in an office environment with minimal exposure to hazards. Limited travel.

Work effectively with internal staff, professional providers and members. Full spectrum of management skills for employees. Attention to detail and accuracy in critical in virtually all aspects of work. Interface with all departments and coordinate with Directors and Executive Director. Participative role in teams and task groups. Communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
COMPLEMENTARY DUTIES AND PROCESSES:
Chair, assist, and/or serve as member on various teams and task groups for meetings and projects as needed, assigned or appointed.
Perform such other duties as instructed by the Direcotr of Administration.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS TO SUPPORT COMPLEMENTARY DUTIES AND PROCESSES:
No additional qualifications needed; work condition factors are essentially the same as for the Primary and Essential Duties and Processes.
