Simulation Manager Job Opening in Mesa, Arizona - The Simulation Manager oversees the activities of the Simulation Lab, providing a vital resource for both nursing students and faculty, and enhancing program outcomes. This individual manages the clinical learning lab and simulation opportunities utilizing a variety of equipment including low, mid, and high fidelity manikins.
This leader works collaboratively with campus leadership to assure that student opportunities are based on evidence and reflect best professional practice. He or she supports the mission of the College and develops/maintains community relationships that will further support the organization in developing qualified, safe nurses who will meet the needs of the community.
Position responsibilities include the following:
Collaborate with faculty in developing effective simulations, managing the delivery of the experience, and assisting with the debriefing process.
Schedule and host open lab times.
Demonstrate professional behaviors, serving as a role model for students.
Assist with the development of student orientation to the semester, as well as the clinical lab spaces.
Manage the acquisition and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
Assist campus leadership with the development and management of budgetary decisions.
Maintain knowledge of national standards and lead process changes to assure compliance.
Manage CPR and or other certification classes as required.
Provide flexibility in scheduling lab times to optimize the learning environment.
A Master of Science in Nursing degree or related healthcare field; Doctorate preferred.
Knowledge of and ability to operate and maintain skills/simulation equipment, fax machines, calibrators, compressors/vacuums, copy machine, phones, computers.
Knowledgeable of computer software programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, CANVAS, etc.
Certification in Simulation by the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning and other certifications in teaching/learning preferred.
Must have strong written/verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
Must have a high degree of professionalism and discretion dealing with confidential information
Current Registered Nurse license if applicable.
