Tax / Accounting Manager Job Opening in Columbia, South carolina - Jerman Personnel Services is looking to hire a Tax Manager for a local, sophisticated CPA firm in Columbia, SC serving a wide range of diverse clients.
Looking for someone with supervisory or managerial experience and a strong tax and accounting background. Ideal candidates will be honest, detail-oriented, and have great people skills with an outgoing personality. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. In addition to being very customer service minded, this individual must be able to work well in a team environment and also be motivated to take initiative on projects. Effective organizational skills are a must as this position requires a lot of planning and scheduling.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Review tax returns
Manage client engagements
Complete tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporate partnerships
Review financial statements for
Review staff closeout of client accounting books
Assist managers and partners with special projects
Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years of progressively responsible accounting roles
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
Licensed CPA
Solid understanding of GAAP
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel
Must be very discreet, confident, and have great morals and integrity
Excellent multi-tasker and strong work-ethic
