Sr. Health Economics Researcher position at UnitedHealth Group Job Opening in minneapolis, Minnesota - Sr. Health Economics Researcher position at UnitedHealth Group Description Sr. Health Economics Researcher - Bloomington, MN (will also consider home-based employees) The qualified candidate will be required to perform prospective and retrospective health economics research using claims and other data. Responsibilities: Collect the study data independently from databases using a programming language Complete research projects on-time and on-budget to support services for Diabetes Prevention & Control markets Suggest projects where research can create new market opportunities Write study design documents and present to clients to win business Qualifications: A graduate degree in statistics, public health, health economics or a quantitative field is desirable Graduate work at the interface of claims is desired A minimum of 3 years experience using SQL/OLAP tools preferred A minimum of 3 years experience using R, SAS or another statistical software including generalized linear models Experience with statistical techniques of survey analysis and clinical trials required Ability to program in Python or Java strongly preferred Experience working with large data sets and the ability to establish connectivity to databases using different protocols is required Intermediate level expertise with use of Excel/Access and spreadsheet modeling is very desirable An attitude of proactively seeking to assist stakeholders is a must UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
