Sr. Software Engineer Job Opening in Mountain View, California - Guardian Analytics is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Mountain View. In this position, you will play a key role in building our next generation SaaS based behavioral analytics engine using Java technologies. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working on high-performance, big data systems, strong experience building production systems and a history of collaborating across multiple organizations.
What you will do:
Build next generation SaaS based behavioral analytics engine using Java technologies.
Apply multi-threaded Java programming to build complex and resilient transactional solutions.
Puzzle out complex data problems.
Work in a highly collaborative team environment to define, design and implement our next generation architecture and products.
Write and execute test cases, interact closely with Quality Assurance to ensure timely delivery of stable software.
Your Skillset should include recent and extensive experience in:
7+ year of strong knowledge and experience with Java, Kafka, Spark, Cassandra and Mysql.
Fluency in Java, Python. Competency in other programming languages a plus.
Experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Strong development experience with Spring, Hibernate & SOA.
Demonstrated success with Software Engineering in a SaaS or Cloud environment, preferably with hands?on knowledge of deploying data science solutions in production at scale.
Thorough understanding of database concepts both in the SQL and NoSQL world.
Strong analytical background and excellent problem solving abilities.
Extensive experience using cloud services like Amazon AWS and/or Azure.
Self-motivated problem-solver: a go-getter with a can-do attitude.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or another technical field. Advanced degrees preferred.
Desired Experience:
Financial Fraud or malware/internet intrusion detection software.
Experience with large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop).
