AMPEX is looking for a highly organized Software Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary engineering team in developing leading instrumentation products for aero-space applications. Ampex provides a dynamic environment with a diversity of technical challenges. The preferred candidate will have a strong background in C++ development in a Linux environment.
The candidate must be familiar with software security assurance practices, software development tools for build systems, source control, unit-test and design for manufacturing. Experience in working through project from the initial requirements definition, design documentation, implementation, qualification testing and product support. Software Engineer must have proof of the ability to have and maintain a secret clearance.
May work in Hayward CA, Goleta CA, Carlsbad/Vista CA, Horsham PA, or Denver CO.
Preferred Skills Include:
Low-level network programming
Device driver development
Linux device interface classes and storage device interfaces and file systems
Experience with data management and optimization techniques for storage and network protocols
Familiarity with network security protocols and operating system security guidelines
