NP or PA for Colorectal & General Surgery Job Opening in Olean, New york - At Olean Medical Group, we recognize Advanced Practitioners as an integral part of our medical community. You will have an opportunity to excel in your job under the direction of our Colorectal / General Surgeon. Provide and coordinate patient care and serve as first assistant during surgery. The Advanced Practitioner provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service in coordination with our surgeon. Work with experienced nursing staff and enjoy a cohesive team atmosphere built on communication and cooperation. Work one-on-one with our surgeon, who has experience training and developing a Physician Assistant in his practice. The regular schedule is Mon-Fri in addition to call 5-7 days/month. Duties include:
Office consults, manage pre-op and post-op patients.
OR time ranging from 1-3 cases / week
Opportunity to assist with GYN surgeries
Hospital responsibilities delegated by the surgeon; will included hospital consultations / rounds
Office located directly next door to Olean General Hospital
Education / Training / Experience:
Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
New York State License
DEA, NPI, & Prescriptive Authority
Current CPR Recognition
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective organizational and time management skills
Recent General / Colorectal Surgery experience desired, but would be happy to train a recent graduate
