Practice Manager Job Opening in Troy, New york - The position of Practice Manager includes responsibilities necessary to grow and maintain a successful hyperbaric oxygen treatment center (Center). This position has a dual responsibility to effectively promote growth of the patient referral base, as well as manage basic administrative aspects of the Hyperbaric Center.
The primary focus of this position will include broad-based program growth activities, including developing and maintaining relationships with referring physician offices. Administrative responsibilities will include activities that support the center?s operations, including gathering and processing information and documents for patient insurance approval, and assisting the Center?s team as needed. Although the majority of the hours will be during the normal workday, there will be times when doing program growth activities will require some flexibility. The duties and responsibilities of this position include:
1. Responsible for growth of the program and continued patient referrals, by working with the Center Medical Director to:
a. Identify potential referral sources.
b. Initiate and maintain relationships with referral sources through physician to physician and staff education and awareness efforts.
2. Administrative duties of the Hyperbaric Practice, including:
a. Maintaining a strong working relationship with hospital administrators and staff.
b. Collecting patient insurance information and office records.
c. Assisting with recording patient data.
d. Assisting Center Director with administrative and operational responsibilities.
3. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate possesses the following knowledge skills or abilities:
1. Ability to develop and organize educational programs and/or workshops.
2. Ability to educate clinical professionals, clinical staff and the public.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
5. Self motivated, highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
6. Proven utilization of time management.
7. Flexibility and teamwork in managing the needs of the Center and corporate office.
8. A ?does whatever it takes? approach to program development and the success of the Center.
The ideal candidate has the following background:
1. Comfortable with public speaking.
2. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
3. Bachelor?s Degree in business or related field preferred.
4. Sales/marketing experience in the healthcare industry.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be credentialed per Mobile Hyperbaric Centers? policies and procedures. Must successfully complete post offer, pre-employment background check/drug test. This is a full-time position. The compensation package will be a base salary plus commission (including a full benefits package), commensurate with education and experience.
