Marketing and Sales Analyst Job Opening in Roswell, Georgia - Position Summary:
As a key member of the Pine Mountain and Diamond team, the Marketing and Sales Analyst will support the leadership and sales team in driving brand and category management in a nearly $400 Million retail category that is poised for growth. The position offers many opportunities for growth and development and can expand and evolve based on your demonstrated readiness to take on more.
We are seeking a driven, results-oriented team member with a track record of success helping a team drive outstanding results on short timelines. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working cross-functionally across an organization to get things done, and enjoys and thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization. Must be willing to work overtime as needed to get the job done and meet the needs and timelines of our team and customers (this is not just a 9-5 job).
The Marketing and Sales Analyst will support the VP/GM of Pine Mountain and Diamond and Customer Development Manager through coordination with the cross-functional team for customer requests, packaging changes, budgeting, product launches, distribution growth initiatives, demand-driving programs, forecasting, sales analysis, cost saving opportunities, and other business initiatives. Success in the role requires strategic capabilities, analytical acumen, and detail-oriented exceptional execution.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Drive sales and profitability growth for the Fire Building portfolio, including Pine Mountain Fire Logs and Fire Starters, Diamond® brand matches and Fire Starters, and Private Label business.
Work with the Customer Development Manager to manage demand-driving marketing programs and promotional partnerships to deliver ROI within spending goals.
Manage business reporting, including monthly and annual budget tracking, sales performance versus plan, monthly dashboards, analyses, and ROI analyses.
Analyze data from internal sources, syndicated data, and customer POS to identify key trends, opportunities and market share changes.
2. Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Development teams to achieve exceptional retail execution and results.
Support Customer Development team to develop and launch strong in-store programs, including shelf planograms and displays, to drive growth.
Develop selling materials and coordinate product samples to support customer presentations.
Build expertise on our product categories to be a key resource to answer questions from customers and the sales organization.
Lead the completion of information requests and form submissions from customers, to support our reputation of outstanding service levels
3. Perform additional assignments as management may direct.
Position :
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
2-4 years of previous experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods or durable goods industry.
Demonstrated leadership on projects.
Strong, proven analytical skills.
Good understanding of marketing concepts and the retail environment.
Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Conducting market research and generating sales reports and maintaining a database.
Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Demonstrated ability to effectively build team relationships.
Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.
Ability to manage multiple projects with executional excellence.
First-hand experience with indoor and outdoor fires, including fireplaces, fire pits, and charcoal grilling is a plus.
Ability to multi-task, use good judgment to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Strong achievement focus, interest in moving up in the organization, and commitment to deliver results.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated clarity in spoken and written words.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Role is based in Roswell, Georgia.
Must be able to travel 5 percent of work time.
Willingness to ?roll up sleeves,? to be involved in the administrative details, and operate in a lean organization.
