Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a skilled accounts receivable manager to provide financial, administrative and clerical services for our Wholesale division. Accounts receivable duties include managing a function and ensuring accuracy/efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying computing, posting and recording accounts receivables? data
Process multiple payment forms (ACH, checks, CC etc.)
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify, reconcile and balance major department store accounts (especially chargebacks and discounts).
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.
Resolve credit collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with Credit Control.
Review AR aging to ensure compliance.
Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Requirements
Preferred: BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Minimum 2-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Experience with factor/credit insurance
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
ERP experience or MS Dynamics AX preferred
Proficiency in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
