We are currently accepting qualified applications for a Home Health Administrator to support one of our National Home Health clients in Elizabeth City, NC.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for provision of quality care to patients and families.
Supervises, guides and directs all clinical staff. Plans, develops,
implements and evaluates home health agency services, programs
and activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to) the Following:
Manages and evaluates the agency's clinical programs and ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care services.
Assess, evaluate and educate staff in OASIS documentation throughout the agency.
Develops and implements policies and procedures that meet regulatory standards and that reflect our client?s mission statement and goals.
Knowledgeable about Medicare, JCAHO, local and state regulatory standards, and takes reasonable steps to ensure that they are enforced within the agency.
Assesses staffing levels to adequately meet the needs of the population served, and makes recommendations to administration for additions and changes.
Assumes responsibility for agency operation in absence of Regional Administrator.
Assumes responsibility for own professional education and development needs.
Ensures that qualified staff are recruited, hired, oriented and assigned.
Understands principals of care for all licensed professional services.
Participates in all activities relevant to the professional services provided, including the development of qualifications and the assignment of personnel.
Works cooperatively with the Regional Administrator and HR Coordinator, Finance
Director, and promotes communication, problem-solving, and uses established lines of communication.
Participates in the annual performance evaluation of professional staff.
Encourages continuing education, and promotes professional growth among staff.
Is available, or ensures a designee is available, at all times during operating hours.
Supervises branch offices, and maintains regular and ongoing contact with branch offices.
Represents the agency in community activities, educational programs, and in the promotion of our client?s services.
Provides input to the Regional Administrator in budget development, implementation and evaluation. Participates in resource allocation.
Uses leadership position to set positive, attainable expectation, objectives and goals for clinical staff within the agency.
Takes action to enforce rules, and uses acceptable process of disciplinary action to correct problems.
Delegates authority appropriately and ensures that management staff participates in the running of the agency in a responsible, consistent manner.
Coordinates Float Supervisors scheduling.
Demonstrates creativity and fair, consistent decision-making. Takes reasonable risks and accepts full accountability for actions taken.
Demonstrates a positive image of self and own skills, capabilities and judgment. Serves as a role model
Conducts management meetings and participates in staff meetings, and ensures that minutes of meetings are available to staff. Services as a member of the PI committee, and Advisory Council.
Investigates unusual incidents, complaints from patients and employees and reports to Regional Administrator.
As a member of the Advisory Council, participates in strategic planning.
Responsible for the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and services.
Works with agency leadership in preparation for accreditation and certification surveys.
Directs, coordinates and supervises orientation related to documentation and performance improvement of all new employees.
Participates in assessing and responding to patient satisfaction surveys.
Emphasizes importance of safety and patient rights in all aspects of care.
Prepares reports as required for the Regional Administrator and Advisory Council, and other committees as requested.
Identifies and reports to the Regional Administrator all patient care service problems which arise implementing the agency programs.
Practices confidentiality and respect for patient's rights.
Responsible for promoting positive attitude among staff and employee retention.
Performs other duties as assigned.
DEGREE OF TRAVEL -Frequent.
DEGREE OF DISRUPTION TO ROUTINE, OVERTIME - Frequent disruption due to
interruption from staff and clients.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.
Bachelor's degree in nursing or health related field preferred.
Five (5) years? experience in nursing.
Two (2) years of home health experience.
Minimum two (2) years management experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Valid driver's license. License to
practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.

Salary: $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
