A dynamic financial services company is seeking a full-time Network Systems Administrator, for a permanent position, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. With more than 200 employees, we consist of 22 store front locations in three remote markets, two call centers and admin offices, and also have a growing web presence.
This position provides technical support to all business end-users and systems; oversees all network infrastructures, including on-premise and hosted web, database, email, ESXi virtual, and VoIP servers. Typical duties include direct support to operational end-users, while providing maintenance and support of roughly 10 Windows servers, cloud based systems, Cisco ASA, network switches, printers, and over 200 workstations and laptops.
Candidate must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage projects from inception to closing, and be highly organized and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment. Candidate must also be accomplished at working within a team, working closely with our internal software development team located in India, and our business development team with a heavy focus on internet related marketing and online customer applications. This position reports to the Vice President of Systems Development.
Essential Functions:
Manage, maintain, and work the Company Help Desk powered by JIRA.
Provide remote technical support to both user workstations and mobile laptop users
Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
Maintain, administer, and monitor on-premise, EXSi virtual, and data center servers, including performance, stability, security, hardware, software, and remote access
Monitor network and server performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future
Maintain, administer, and monitor Cisco ASA firewalls deployed throughout network
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware, in accordance with PCI standards.
Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
Provide support to Web Development team to maintain and manage IIS websites
Gather data pertaining to business needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements, recommending changes as necessary
Research new and existing technologies to benefit the business, and implement or recommend its implementation
Provide direct support to in-house IT team, relating to server, network, and application needs.
Provide 24/7 on-call support for the network environment
Make routine field visits to audit and implement network and system components
Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel in order to facilitate purchases
Provide support for and take-on additional project tasks, as a means to grow the position
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
IT/Computer support background (min. 2 years experience)
Network support and windows server management background, including EXSi virtual servers (min. 2 years experience)
Database (SQL) and Website monitoring (IIS) and/or management experience is a plus
Cisco ASA firewall administration experience
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
Possess ability to function independently and have the ability to be proactive in delivering support
Able to prioritize duties and manage multiple tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision
Ability to respond effectively to urgent technology matters
Compensation:
CM Retail Management, Inc. offers a competitive benefits package and an outstanding working environment. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with skills and experience, with a base salary range of $50,000 - $85,000 and quarterly bonus opportunities.
