Job Summary:
The Healthcare Data Analyst acts as the primary point of contact for each assigned clinic. This individual interfaces and communicates with senior leaders, supervisors, providers, and other end-users on a regular basis. Writes and maintains specifications for and works closely with internal developers to ensure correct data is utilized and analyzed. Performs research and analysis of complex healthcare data. Evaluates, writes, and presents healthcare Key Performance Indicators and aids in development of dashboards, balanced scorecards, and ad-hoc reports. Acts as the subject matter expert of the data repositories available within the organization by obtaining an in-depth understanding of each source system.
Knowledge/Skills
Able to relate to senior leaders, supervisors, providers, and other end-users on a personal level yet maintain a technical working relationship with the database developers.
Comfortable addressing and presenting to senior leadership on key findings and managing client relationships through project implementations. Professional Communication a must.
Develop ad-hoc reports using SQL programming, SQL server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, and Excel.
Expert level knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Comfortable with SSIS ETL process
Assist in the design and development of databases, reporting tools, and business process
Responsible for the timely completion of projects, including development and monthly maintenance.
Analyze data and trends for anomalies, trends, opportunities, including validation of monthly key performance indicators.
Able to discover, understand, and translate business language and rules from customer to database developers and vice versa.
Required Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Required Experience:
5+ years? data management in an increasingly complex data environment
5+ years? experience in ad-hoc report writing
Advanced knowledge of T-SQL
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Technical writing and documentation
Preferred Experience:
Extensive experience with ETL
Extensive experience designing dashboards and Key Performance Indicators
Experience with healthcare data
Broad range of BI and report writing tools
