Estimator, Construction Rebar Job Opening in Fryeburg, Maine - ABOUT HARMAC
Here at HarMac, we're excited about growing our existing team of Rebar Estimators. A subsidiary of A.H. Harris & Sons, Inc., HarMac Rebar & Steel Corporation has been providing services and products to the Northeast and beyond for over 30 years. Specifically, HarMac fabricates reinforcing steel for commercial, industrial, high rise buildings, heavy construction infrastructure projects and complex precast and tilt-up applications.
LOCATION
An entry-level or less experienced Rebar Estimator will join our team in Fryeburg, Maine (103 Corn Shop Road). A seasoned Estimator with rebar-specific experience will have the option of working remotely from their USA-based home office. Regardless of location, position will be full-time, with benefits, Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm EST.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and interpret contract drawings, blueprints, sketches and other engineering documents
Evaluate size and quantity of rebar and support accessories to satisfy contract requirements
Collaborate with internal personnel and suppliers to establish accurate material pricing
Provide comprehensive and timely material and cost estimates for secured projects and drafting of bids
REQUIREMENTS (must work on-site in Maine):
At least one year of related estimating experience in construction industry OR
Coursework/degree in Accounting or Finance with some type of experience in construction industry
Ability to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIOR DETAILER/DRAFTER (will have option to telecommute from USA home office):
At least 3-5 years experience estimating rebar fabrication projects (must be rebar)
