Market Director of Business Development / Inpatient Hospital
At Select Specialty/ Regency Hospital , a division of Select Medical, our specialty hospitals care for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care. As Market Director of Business Development, you will oversee business development strategy and activity for two hospitals Kansas City market. This position assumes a leadership role in developing and nurturing professional relationships with payers, discharge planners, physicians and other clinicians in local acute care hospitals. You will educate team members, referring hospital staff, patients and patient families regarding services provided by Select Specialty Hospital. In addition, you will be providing oversight into the pre-admissions function and developing and mentoring a team of highly motivated clinical liaisons.
Specific responsibilities of the Market Director of Business Development include:
Increase referrals and admissions to our Long Term Acute Care hospitals by educating hospital discharge planners on Select/Regency hospital services and patient outcomes.
Direct and implement census development strategies for our, long term acute care hospitals (160 beds) in the Atlanta market.
Serve as a value-added, clinical consultant to physicians and discharge planners as they contemplate the most appropriate care options for critically ill patients
Provide oversight to the pre-admission function.

Job Requirements
Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor?s Degree (Masters, preferred)
5+ years of inpatient hospital sales experience
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards
Proven success in relationship development and training/mentoring of team members
Ability to work collaboratively with members of the marketing and nurse liaison teams to establish and achieve referral goals.
