Description:
Looking for people who have optime/ anesthesia background in Epic or Cerner?s equivalent of Surginet OR/ AND experience working in a Perioperative and Procedural department. This aspect is probably most important to me. Additionally, these roles will serve more in an informatics function (direct end user support) than an analyst function (build).
Participate in all Perioperative and Procedural implementations and support efforts to improve workflow standards as well as end user adoption and proficiency within the EMR. Ensure consistent application of workflows in alignment with TUKHS policies, regulatory requirements, and leading practices
Assist in intake, prioritization, and delivery of technology requests to improve workflow standards, end user adoption, and end user proficiency.
Partner with data governance, analytics, and quality resources in development of data capture, data management, and analysis to support TUKHS Perioperative and Procedural Services strategic initiatives and aligning those with EMR design, use, and adoption.
Evaluate the impact of technology on Perioperative and Procedural and identify areas to promote use to create efficiencies for clinicians to improve quality of care and revenue compliance.
Partner with Perioperative and Procedural leadership, the HITS team, and Clinical Informatics to plan, coordinate, and facilitate patient-centric technology initiatives as they relate to Perioperative and Procedural Services.
Work with clinical departments to understand and manage user expectations and communication with regard to support service availability, responsiveness, and level of service.

Demonstrates accountability in delivering assigned task. Reports project issues and accomplishments to project manager. Delivers a work product that meets project requirements as defined by the scope and stays within departmental guidelines for application
Directs, coaches and participates with others in the analysis and documentation of current and future needs and workflows through interviews and gathering data regarding regulatory requirements, operation procedures and policies
Directs, coaches and participates with others in the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, support and evaluation of clinical or business application systems as assigned. These activities may include system design, documentation of design decisions, workflow redesign and documentation, data collection, database building, testing and troubleshooting.
Maintain relationships within relevant healthcare and business communities
Works collaboratively with users/stakeholders in assigned business areas in the design and implementation of new business application/systems
in team and project meetings. Works closely with team/department members. Can identify more integrated issues where collaboration is needed
Works effectively and efficiently alone or as a leader of a team. Directs and coaches others. Partners with stakeholders and is sensitive to their unique needs
Under general direction, designs, documents, builds and modifies the most complex critical application in order to best meet the needs of the organization. Demonstrates knowledge of such tools as process flow documentation, project reporting, Gantt charting, and resource management
Takes initiative to research and develop optimizations that will impact overall outcomes
Requirements:
Associates Degree in healthcare business operations like HIM, hospital billing etc. required
Bachelor Degree in healthcare business operations
5 years' experience in healthcare business operations setting required
6 years' experience in healthcare business operations setting preferred
4 years experience as an Analyst is required
Certification in one Epic Application is required
