Quality Assurance Engineer Job Opening in Minneapolis, Minnesota - POSITION SUMMARY:
As a QA Release Engineer at Exosite, you will be a key member of the Engineering team with responsibility for improving testing framework, create tools used by testers, design/implement tests, and ensure good communication with development. You will also be responsible for managing some product release activities at Exosite.
We?re looking for someone who loves to learn about many different software systems to help ensure an amazing experience for our customers. This person can develop tools to help testers, write tests when needed, and communicates well to keep a strong QA presence on projects. As part of our growing QA team there are many opportunities to help improve QA?s processes and interactions with other teams.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Director of Quality to understand customer needs and timelines, then work with project teams to ensure that the development efforts are being tested adequately before delivery to customer.
Assist QA testers and interns in improving their tests and testing methodologies.
Write higher level and more advanced tests including performance, load, security, etc.
Work with Project Managers to help QA involvement on a project.
Create required release artifacts such as deployment and implementation plans.
Coordinate with various teams to develop roll out plans for releases and work with change management for approvals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of professional Software Engineering or Software Quality Assurance experience.
Understanding and experience in Quality Assurance, Dev-Ops, and automation methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in Python, Javascript, Selenium, and Robot Framework.
Experience in, or understanding of, software testing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Can follow and improve on processes to ensure that testing and releases are ready for a production environment.
Experience in testing mobile and web based user interfaces, servers, networking issues and more.
Understanding how to perform automated load, stress, spike and security testing is a plus.
Experience in Cloud technology (ex: Docker, OpenShift), Database technology (postgresql), JMeter, OWASP ZAP, or other QA tools are a great plus.
Experience working with Agile development process is a plus.
Familiarity with source control (git) and process tools is a plus.
