Sales Manager - Gulf Coast Area Job Opening in New Orleans, Louisiana - Position Summary:
As the Area Sales Manager for U.S. Gulf South you will focus on expanding existing business and bringing in new customers within the territory. You will provide solution-based consultation services to accounts in the area by working directly with end users to understand their needs and provide winning control system solutions. Requires 3 years of direct industry and sales experience within the Gulf Coast energy market, preferably focused on gas turbines, generators, compressors, reciprocating engines, and industrial automation.
Responsibilities:
Achievement of assigned sales targets, increasing revenue and overall profit in assigned geographical territory.
Identifying, pursuing and establishing new business opportunities for the continued growth and profitability of the company.
Leveraging of existing customer contacts to expand business opportunities.
Develop alliances and partnerships within the industry to create additional market opportunities.
Professionally market company?s products and services at tradeshows and conferences.
Responsible and timely maintenance of Accounts, Opportunities, and Activities in CRM system.
Essential Skills/Experience:
3 years experience with rotating machinery sales within the oil & gas, power generation and process industries.
Proven and identifiable sales record and achievements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional presentation/client facing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment.
Strong and effective negotiation and closing skills across all organizational levels
Ability to travel 50 ? 75% or more of the time within the territory.
Education:
Four-year college degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
