Dev Technology Group is seeking a Software Developer. The selected candidate will develop Java and Android applications and utilize other languages and scripting frameworks as appropriate.
The responsibilities of the Software Developer include the following:
Develop, design, and debug Java and Android software from requirements
Develop Unit Tests for Software
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly software development team meetings
Document software to the satisfaction of the Software Development Plan
Document software architecture and design such as the Software Design Document (SDD)
Work with System Engineers to review requirements and propose solutions to satisfy requirements
Create prototypes (e.g., wireframes)
Required & Preferred Skills and Experience:
5+ years of Java software development experience
Minimum 2 years of Android application software development experience
Experience using SQLite, developing and invoking Web Services preferred
Experience developing and using complex algorithms is preferred
Ability to utilize software development tools: NetBeans, Android Studio, and Subversion is highly desirable
Experience with software configuration management tools (e.g., JIRA) is preferred
Experience with continuous integration methodologies (DevOps) and associated tools is preferred
: Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science is required, emphasis on Mathematics or Statistics is desired
