Technical Sales Representative Job Opening in Dayville, Connecticut - Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
? Contributes to corporate revenue and EBITDA goals by pricing projects profitably, accurately and efficiently. Creates and sends quotations. Negotiates/closes value based sales that will allow the organization to meet its financial and profitability goals
? Acknowledges RFQs and other inquiries within the department within 24 hours of receipt. Represents PPC at trade shows, customer sites, and industry functions as required
? Attends morning engineering review meetings to review all new opportunities with engineering and provide qualifying information on the lead
? Completes OQVS as part of order receipt process for all new purchase orders in his/her territory
? Ensures that team members (customer care and outside sales) are apprised of any and all order updates, quote information and status changes to ensure timely completion of order entry, configuration and project completion tasks
? All other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree
? Minimum of 2-3 years in sales, customer support or technical service
? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pricing calculations and reasoning ability
Preferred Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, polymer science or other technical discipline is preferred. Advanced MS degree is also preferred.
? Minimum of 4-7 years in sales, customer support or technical service, preferably in the polymer, pharma or medical device industries.
? Experience with QAD, Quoting procedures, and pricing negotiations
? Bilingual capabilities, specifically in Chinese, German, Korean, or Spanish
Physical Requirements:
? Desk Environment. Ability to travel when needed (Average less than 2 times/year)
