Tax Manager Job Opening in Tulsa, Oklahoma - SUMMARY : Advises management regarding effects of business activities on taxes and on strategies for minimizing tax liability for the company. Ensures that the company complies with periodic tax payments, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements. Prepares GAAP calculation of taxes for the financial statements. Advises staff on accounting and tax related policies, procedures, and resolves problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES : The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities that are expected of the position, however, additional duties may be assigned, as required:
Coordinates accurate accounting and fiscal data to requesting management and/or programs.
Prepares federal, state and/or local tax returns(income and sales).
Reviews and ensure timely payments of state and local tax returns and payments.
Examines accounts, computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws and regulations.
Responsible for all tax reporting duties for the company, either personally or through subordinates.
Analyzes financial reports in connection with the tax return preparation.
Prepares the Company?s quarterly book provision and deferred tax calculations.
Assist with compliance and reporting under the Affordable Care Act.
File 5500s for the Company's cafeteria plan(s).
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : An individual in this position must have attained a minimum of BA or BS in Accounting to meet entry-level requirements. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development individual should have more than 4 years public accounting experience. Individual should be a licensed CPA. Additional industry experience is a plus.
