Position Summary
The Instructional Media Coordinator works collaboratively with School of Business faculty and staff to develop technologically enhance courses to further challenge students to assess complex business problems. This individual is charged with encouraging faculty to explore active learning strategies, and to update/create engaging web-based activities, navigational designs, interactive video, and other multimedia content that will be used asynchronously. There is broad support for this work at the university.
This position will work to develop interactive and state-of-the art online coursework utilizing the latest educational technology practices and technologies available. Under the supervision of Online Business Operations Manager, this position recruits and trains student workers to assist with various media productions, coordinates their work on competing projects, and shares direct support when unavoidable. This work may involve the occasional evening or weekend hours to offer faculty support/assistance as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS with 1-2+ years of related experience.
Course development experience using the D2L-Brightspace LMS (other LMS experience considered)
Demonstrated experience with PCs and Macs; and expertise in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, YouTube and/or Media Space, Camtasia, etc. or categorically related tools
Familiarity with multimedia best practices and production tools operation
Demonstrated production coordination experience
Creative problem solver with a willingness to ask questions to ensure project success
Strong communication skills

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting annual salary rate for this position will be $42,660 with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities.
