Thrift Books was started in 2003 and is based in Tukwila, Washington. We?re the largest seller of used books on the internet. Even if you haven?t been to , if you?ve bought used books off , you?ve likely bought from us or one of our affiliated companies. We have over 400 employees and 10 large distribution centers across the country. We sell tens of thousands of books a day. Despite our recent rapid growth, we?ve kept our development teams relatively small and nimble. We?re looking to stay nimble, but grow by one. We hope you?re the one!
About Thrift Books Development Team:
For as large a company as we are we have a relatively small development team and each of us wear a lot of hats. There are three main areas of development at Thrift Books ? our website, our warehouse applications, and ? for lack of a better term ? everything else. That last bucket includes our product listing, order processing, pricing, reporting and anything else that keeps books selling. We are hiring for all parts of our development team, but this posting is for someone to help us improve our website.

What we?re looking for:
1-75+ years Software Development Experience. If you?ve got skills, you?ve got skills.
Efficient problem solver ? this might sound like empty HR-speak, but it?s not. We need people who can see a problem and design a solution that is efficient and maintainable
Experience with an object-oriented language and object-oriented concepts.
Experiences with /C# a huge plus ? we are a shop
Strong understanding of SQL ? querying, optimization, relational databases, etc. SQL skills will be stressed in our technical interview so make sure you know your stuff!
Experience with MS SQL a big plus.
Website experience - Familiarity with the ?full stack? of back-end, front-end and design and how they interact.
Agile/SCRUM experience is nice to have, but the most important thing is that you work well with a team
