We are Blokable, Inc. , an exciting modular housing products company looking for a software architect for our Seattle office. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company on the ground floor and to influence the development of an innovative modular building product for housing. Responsibilities:
Design and deliver best-in-class technology product including Blokable?s website, BlokSense (in-home technology), and more
Lead the product selection (hardware and software) for customer-facing products as well as internal tools
Participate in recruiting as we build out a world-class software organization
Be as excited to be ?hands on? developing code as you are with establishing tech strategy
Communicate effectively throughout the organization
Become a subject matter expert in IoT as we explore exciting opportunities with BlokSense
Define success metrics for major projects and track/report on metrics post-delivery
Define overall business intelligence and analytics strategy for all technology products
Skills and requirements:
Minimum 10 years experience in software development with experience architecting low-overhead, complex systems
The ideal candidate will be a generalist with experience in building and integrating multiple systems and modern technology stacks
Ability to determine build vs buy trade-offs and quickly select the best long-term technology solution
History of completing complex projects on time with high quality deliverables
Exceptional problem solving skills with an eye towards delivering solutions quickly
Ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with business and technology partners
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with ambiguity and change
Experience with Ruby, React, , SQL, Redis, and Linux.
Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience implementing distributed systems.
Experience growing a software development team a plus
IoT experience a plus
