As CTO you will lead our engineering team, and guide the technical direction of the company in collaboration with the founder and CEO. Neighborly is the hardest tech you will ever work on. We're in the business of predicting the future; modeling the real world to create a magical home service experience. Our goal is to completely automate the negotiation of transactions, as well as the dispatch of assistance. We need an individual with demonstrated success in leading and building development teams; creating and delivering high-impact technology platforms; guiding technology strategy; as well as directing technology infrastructure and development efforts.
You should be comfortable in an open, fluid, fast-growth environment and bring an energetic and creative approach to your work, spanning strategy as well as in-the-trenches execution. You'll be joining an experienced team in a well-funded seed-stage startup. This is a high risk/reward opportunity, where you will have an immediate impact.
Who you are:
* 10+ years software development experience
* Familiarity with at least one MVC web stack (Rails, Django, etc.)
* Experience with at least one C-based language (C, C++, Objective C, etc.)
* Track record of getting software projects done - either professional, non-professional, or academic software projects
* Experience leading other developers
