About the position?
Position reports to the Accounting Supervisor and performs all Accounts Receivable functions and processes semi-monthly, non-union payroll.
Prepares all invoicing for both the manufacturing shipments and client billings, in a timely and efficient manner.
Enters billing from government agencies into the accounting system and monitors collection of these amounts.
Maintains, reconciles and inputs in general ledger the agency?s daily cash activity.
Maintains, reconciles and records all activities in ADP related to staff payroll and employee fringe benefits.
Provides backup support for accurate and timely union payroll timekeeping and payroll process.
Applicants interested in being considered for this position should meet the following requirements:
Reading, Math, Keyboarding skills commensurate with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
At least five years of accounts receivable experience
At least 2 years of payroll and/or accounts payable preferred
Experience working with payroll software, processing checks, and making journal entries preferred
Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures
Must be a demonstrated self-starter, flexible, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Must have strong work ethic and be able to communicate effectively in a diverse workplace
Must be able to work overtime occasionally when needed
Positive attitude and sense of humor a must
