Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Jacksonville, Florida - We are a local vocational school in search of accounting specialist to join our team.
Job Duties Include But Not Limited To:
All activities associated with the student receivable system, including billing, collections, registration, check request, refunds, account reconciliation and deposits
All activities associated with accounts payable to include coding, input, research and account reconciliation
New vendor setup and maintenance
Audit and reconcile credit card bills
Record daily banking activity
Coordinate with CFO in maintenance of payroll records including new hires, changes in pay, tax status and other changes
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and GAAP
1098-T Reporting to the IRS
Assist In Audits and Year End Close
Requirements:
5+ years of general accounting experience
Accounting degree
QuickBooks experience
Detail oriented
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high pressure fast paced environment
Strong analytical skills
Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Ability to effectively prioritize task and meet deadlines
Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions
Office management experience preferred but not required
