Software Engineer Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - The Opportunity: You will build and enhance the firm's real-time trading application by designing, developing and installing key software components. Working within the firm's core development team, you will be a contributor to the designs, build, test and deployment of the key system components. You will evolve into a go-to resource for the firm.
Required Abilities and Qualifications:
3+ years of software development experience with designing, implementing, testing and maintaining a real-time trading application
Proficiency in JavaScript, TCP/UDP, JSON, NodeJS, C++v11, SQL, MySQL
Exceptional ability to produce clean, efficient code in C++ or C#.
Experience building and maintaining a mobile and web based application through REST, web services, and web sockets.
Dependable team player with a strong work ethic, exceptional accuracy, good analytical and problem-solving skills
Implementing low latency, real time applications that handle large amounts of data.
Financial knowledge is helpful but not required.
Comfort resolving uncertainty and communicating for issue resolution
Ability to take full ownership (design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, iterate) of projects
BA or MS degree in Computer Science
