The receptionist / administrative assistant position is crucial to the company. It is an ideal position for a well-organized person who enjoys multi-tasking and working with both technology and people. The ideal candidate will focus on details and accuracy, have a helpful attitude and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as directed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greet customers and vendors in a friendly and professional manner
Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, etc.)
Provide administrative assistance to the controller/office manager Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Enter sales orders
Arrange freight for LTL shipments
Work with shipping department to manage backorders and achieve acceptable transit times
Accounts receivable and collections
Create and follow up on purchase orders
Enter bills
Filing
Order office supplies
Special projects as assigned
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Excellent communication skills to provide a welcoming, professional first impression of UDT for customers and visitors.
Skills in customer service sufficient to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to customers over the phone and in person.
A positive and professional demeanor and the ability to be flexible to meet the needs at hand.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage workloads involving numerous assignments concurrently.
Knowledge of and inventory processes.
Experience with Microsoft applications including creating spreadsheets in Excel and correspondence in Word.
Ability to compose and edit correspondence and reports using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Required education and/or experience:
Office Administration or Associate?s degree
Experience working in an office/clerical setting
Experience or education related to bookkeeping/basic accounting
Experience with multi-line phone system
Preferred experience:
QuickBooks
Microsoft SharePoint
Salesforce or other CRM software
Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Additional Requirements:
The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) based upon his/her clerical skills, employment history and references.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
Required experience:
Receptionist: 5 years
