Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Provide accurate and timely invoicing of customers. Ensure customer payments are received timely. Follow up with customers to resolve any questions/issues in a timely manner. Support month-end close process.
Invoices customers in a timely manner according to the contract terms; ensures invoices are complete and accurate. For invoices in foreign currency, ensures currency translation is accurately calculated.
Monitors to ensure customer payments are made timely; makes collections calls.
Prepares Accounts Receivable reports including, but not limited to, aging and cash flow reports.
Prepares support for the allowance account as well as any write-offs. Researches and applies any unallocated cash.
Supports month-end close process by preparing assigned entries, reconciling assigned accounts and running financial schedules.
Prepares a weekly receivables status report for management.
Prepares variance analysis for accounts receivable, revenues and deferred revenues explaining changes in accounts. Researches questions as needed.
Prepares intercompany invoices and ensures all intercompany receivable accounts are reconciled at month-end.
Provides support for internal and external reviews and audits.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
Participates in the development of company and department policies.
Idnetifies and works on process improvements.
Other general ledger responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Associate degree in accounting or related field, bachelor?s degree a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of accounts receivable and 4 years accounting experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.
Self-motivated, flexible and able to handle multiple priorities.
Must possess strong problem resolution and reconciliation skills.
Experience with corporate financial software packages is required. Dynamics AX experience a plus. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word required.
Experience with foreign exchange (FX) required and experience with hedging contracts a plus.
