Food Service Associates Job Opening in little rock, Arkansas - Food Service Associates We currently have 2 positions available as a Food Service Associate in a very Professional setting. In order to be considered, you must meet the requirements listed below: Cashier Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions ? Serves guests and employees courteously, totaling sales and providing correct change ? Exhibits good customer service skills ? Maintain a neat and clean cashier station ? Ensures good working inventory of ?bank? by counting ?bank? at beginning of shift and planning to ensure there are plenty of coins and one dollar bills ? Stocks condiment containers before service begins and ensures adequate supply is maintained throughout service ? Reconciles receipts with cash and/or meal tickets and passes. Qualifications Position reports to Food Service Director/Chef. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment. Additional qualifications include: ? Experience in the food service industry, highly desirable ? Knowledge of running a cash register ? Knowledge of running a credit card machine and credit card transactions ? Math skills for counting money and providing correct change ? Ability to understand and follow directions given by management Cook Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions ? Ensures that the cook?s unit is set up for preparing current day?s entrees and hot items, checks all food items on the arts with the production and tally sheets and communicates with the storeroom for items that are missing ? Checks the following day?s menus for availability of needed supplies and notifies appropriate person if changes need to be made ? Ensures that the quality of all food items produced is preserved, consistently following the standardized recipes and diagrams ? Follows guidelines set forth to ensure food quality and safety, checks and documents holding temperatures of hot food to ensure food safety, and follows proper basic food preparation techniques ? Ensures food items are prepared in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements ? Maintains certification in Food Service Sanitation by the Department of Public Health ? Maintains cleanliness of work area, ensuring cleaning matrix is observed Qualifications Reports to the Food Service Director/Chef. Minimum 1 years experience in the food service industry. Requires good interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team environment and interact with customers. Additional qualifications: ? Sets up/Breaks down the grill station ? Maintains a clean and sanitary work station ? Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils ? Responsible for using the correct portions when cutting and serving items ? Performs all other tasks as directed by the manager Utility Aide Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions ? Cleans meal carts after last meal period and ensures plugs are in carts before each meal ? Removes trash from kitchen and cleans floors per assignment ? Delivers carts to patient floors in specified order, picks up trays on floors and returns carts to dish room, Loads trays and provides assistance to tray-line when needed. ? Cleans trays by scrapping trays while wearing gloves, checks trays for silverware and soaking silverware, and catches and stores clean dishes per assignment ?
