Human Resource Manager Job Opening in Salem, Oregon - As the Human Resources Manager, you will manage the day-to-day Human Resources operations for the agency. You will partner with and advise managers on routine employee relations issues, coordinate recruitment, interview, hire, and on-board new staff. You will interface with contracted human resource partners and act as a liaison with brokers for liability insurances and benefits.
Duties
Analyzes wage and salary reports/data to recommend a competitive compensation plan
Collaborates with managers in projecting employment trends and needs
Makes recommendations regarding personnel policies and practices
Routinely reviews, gathers input and updates Employee Handbook
Coordinates recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring and orientation of new employees in partnership with managers
Oversees maintenance of personnel and other HR records according to state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and Joint Commission standards
Manages employee benefits including renewals, changes, COBRA notices and tracking, creditable coverage notification, and benefit payments
Assists managers with coaching, disciplinary processes and appropriate documentation
Manages leave process in accordance with current law and policy including notifications to employees, short and long-term disability, benefit payment and return to work
Shares administrative call rotation as appropriate
Analyzes employee benefit programs, researches options and obtains bids on an annual basis
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration or related field
Three years of experience in a human resources position, preferably in health care or human services setting
Professional certification in Human Resources desired
Must have current driver?s license, dependable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance
