Service Trainee Technician Job Opening in Renton, Washington - SmartTalent is seeking an experienced Service Technician ?Trainee in Renton. A successful candidate must be able to learn and demonstrate the ability to properly analyze a situation and make the necessary repair or recommendation.

Duties include but not limited to:
- As a Service Technician ? Trainee you will learn the techniques necessary to troubleshoot swimming pool and spa equipment problems, make necessary repairs and test all functions to ensure a job is completed properly.
- As a Service Technician ? Trainee you will learn how to read daily work-orders, including being able to determine what parts and/or products may be needed to complete a repair visit.
- As a Service Technician ? Trainee you will learn how to complete daily paperwork accurately and efficiently, including work reports/invoices, parts orders/transfers, time sheets, warranty tags, door hangers, etc.
- As a Service Technician ? Trainee you will demonstrate an understanding of security protocol when dealing with a customer?s cash, check, or bankcard or using a customer?s security access codes.
- As a Service Technician ? Trainee you will learn to identify safety and code violations and recommend corrective actions to customers.
- As a Service Technician ? Trainee you will understand inventory integrity and core levels by learning how to request items and how to return unused items to stock. Verify that there are bar codes and SKU tags on all items
- As a Service Technician ? Trainee you will understand equipment operation, proper care and maintenance and how to explain these to a customer so they understand.
Requirements include but not limited to:
-Develop a complete understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and ventilation.
-Be able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
-Acquire 01, 07, or 07B electrical license
-Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform continuous physical activity
-Able to work outdoors in all types of weather
-Possess a valid Washington State Driver?s License, maintain insurable driving status and pass chemical dependency screening.
-Understands and complies with safety policies
-Good verbal and written communication skills; communicates clearly and effectively.
-Functional understanding of company?s software, including Outlook
-Projects a professional image in accordance with company standards
-Understands and lives company values
This opportunity is a Temp to hire based on performance and attendance. Hourly pay rate of $15.00 an hour.
Upon conversion there is a great benefit package available. During the temporary period SmartTalent offers an ACA compliant healthcare plan as well as a supplemental plan.
