Marketing Specialist Job Opening in West Des Moines, Iowa - Are you an experienced marketing professional with the desire to join an energetic start-up poised to make waves in the healthcare industry? We are in search of a Marketing Specialist serving as the champion of user engagement, content creator and brand ambassador in order to execute strategic plans for the our family of brands which include: My Diabetes Home, Patient Qualifier and the Iowa Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Center.
Responsibilities:
Marketing
Assist with developing strategic plans for marketing activities that allow achievement of growth goals.
Help manage company websites and all brand related verbiage
Design and/or guide development team in the creation of sales materials, advertisements and landing pages.
Assist in developing and executing a content strategy that connects with users and/or customers; informing them of platform capabilities, advancements in diabetes and other relevant topics.
Manage monthly newsletters for both internal and external audiences.
Manage social media presence (, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook).
Support media relations efforts and participate in events to further the awareness of the organization.
Engagement Champion
Identify ways to increase user engagement in a way that ensures usage of the breadth of services offered.
Look for opportunities to encourage opt-in for sponsored subscriptions and connection to health portals to provide a high-quality and high-volume experience for research center clients.
Monitor user feedback to determine enhancements that will strengthen our connection to our users.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising, design or related field.
3+ years marketing experience. Knowledge in healthcare and/or technology desirable.
Strong passion for making a difference to the lives of people.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to provide public presentations.
Computer and MS Office knowledge required.
Detail-oriented with good organizational and project management skills
Excellent follow-up skills
Familiarity with web content writing, editing and management
Graphic design skills a plus (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
