Collections / Accounting Clerk Job Opening in Elkhart, Indiana - Primary duties include assistance with accounts receivable collections and proper cash application for Welch Packaging Group affiliates. This is a part-time job (20-30 hours per week).
Accounts Receivable
Monitor past dues, make collection calls and follow-up inquiries on open receivables.
Address customer inquiries such as requests for statements, proof of delivery, etc.
Perform research as needed on credits, short pays, overpayments, etc.
Assist with new customer setups including processing of credit applications.
Assist with periodic receivables reporting for Welch Packaging Group affiliates and Corporate Office.
General
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
College degree in Business, Accounting or previous collections experience preferred.
Good organizational, analytical and communication skills as well as excellent problem solving skills.
Internal and external customer focus.
Computer literacy with Windows applications.
Basic accounting skills.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and working with fractions and percentages.
