Finance Manager- 07262017 Job Opening in Evansville, Indiana - Purpose: Integral leader to the Accounting department in the areas of standard cost, inventory management, internal controls, waste identification and elimination, product costing and pricing. Includes oversight of payable and payroll functions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance; MBA or certification preferred
5+ years accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of a manufacturing income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
Understands the demands of the financial close, forecasting and budgeting process.
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present financial information to senior management
Exceptional time management and ability to multi-task a variety of project duties
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience in an ERP system; primarily an understanding of material and cost flows
Willingness to relocate
10-15% Travel required
Major Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Supervise 1-2 employees
Maintain standard cost, inventory control, and pricing
Document and train on transactional controls
Conduct ongoing cost benefit analysis
Build trends and analyze results looking for differences
Provide forecasting and planning support
Monitor, analyze and provide accounting support on plant expenditures
Provide back-up support for other key financial functions
COGNOS report writing and management
Complete and analyze account reconciliations
Work effectively within a cross functional team environment
Identify, participate and lead cost savings/waste reduction project
Assist Controller in cost analysis as required
Support physical inventory and cycle count activities
Ability and willingness to fill in for Controller in his/her absence
Other duties as assigned by the Controller
