Our client is one of North America's largest manufacturer of Consumer-Packaged Goods with several plants all throughout Canada and the United States. They are currently seeking a Plant Controller to join their Elkhart Indiana Plants. You are independent, team player, eager to keep growing, roll up your sleeves individual that is smart, able to see the big picture, go beyond the debits and credits, come up with solutions to various operational and nonoperational challenges, and command respect of those you work with. Reporting to the Canadian Director of Finance,
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
Preparation of financial statements and/or reports
Analyze and interpret cost, budget, policies
Support internal and external existing and new product evaluations as well as profit opportunity trends
Ensure internal controls are in compliance with all relevant government and industry legislation and regulations
Develop functional strategies as well as
Manage preparation of standard costs for all items produced at the facilities
Accurate and timely completion of monthly financial close including and presentation of results to the Canadian corporate office
Coordinate analysis of the plants actual and planned performance to achieve budgeted/forecasted goals and recommend alternate courses of action to achieve same
Develop internal accounting reports where and when required that appraise management of the plants activity
Communicate monthly and weekly results through reports, presentations, and organizational meetings
Work with Externa Auditors
Other duties as assigned
YOU BRING WITH YOU:
Canadian CPA, US CPA, CGA, CMA, ACCA, ACMA designation
Minimum of 8 years accounting experience
Excellent Excel skills
Previous working experience with JDE an asset only
Demonstrated professional progression with a "makes things happen" attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adaptability to changing demands and conditions
Desire to learn, grow and progress
You think out of the box
You are able to communicate with all levels
