Outside Sales Representative Job Opening in Enfield, Connecticut - PTI Industries, Inc. currently has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual with proven capability as an Aerospace and Composites Market Sales Representative for our growing Special Process business. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. The Outside Sales Representative will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue. As an outside sales representative, or sales agent, they will also research sales competition.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grow the company?s share of the market by traveling throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
Achieve or exceed the territory sales plan accordingly to Business Strategy and budget.
Pursue new opportunities for our services with a strong focus on Composites and Composite Repair.
Build, develop and maintain good customer relationships.
Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company?s marketing presence in the sales territory
When necessary, assist in collecting over due receivables on their established sales accounts.
Manage first line response on technical inquiries from customers and direct to technical service appropriately.
Communicate industry issues e.g. market news, competitive activity, and recommend actions to enhance PTI?s market position.
Prepare reports on all visits to customers and prospects using the designated reporting tool and present timely reports to management, detailing selling efforts, customer relationships, competitive activity and strategies, customer service issues, etc.
Assists other employees in accomplishment of PTI company goals.
Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical field preferred. Other field accepted with previous aerospace experience.
Must be computer literate and have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs including Excel
Must have 5 years experience minimum (10+ preferred) in sales with a solid track record of securing sales.
Aerospace Special Process and/or Manufacturing and/or Composite market and industry experience dealing with prime and subcontractor accounts is required.
Experience or connections with the Airline Industry is a plus.
Good understanding of market and customer needs.
Self-motivated and excellent communication skills are required.
Ability to manage complex accounts.
Must be prepared to travel
Experience in uncovering and securing new accounts is vital to this position and will be a key measure of success in this role.
